Bulgaria

Hey everybody!

We are three bioanalysts from the 3th course. We've been in Bulgaria for quite a long time now and seen how much this country has to offer. Among the first things we noticed were the picturesque mountains everywhere, which are quite amazing to Estonians, who aren't used to that kind of sights. The first place we visited in Bulgaria was town called Veliko Tarnovo, which lies at a foot of a mountain. Thanks to its beautiful architecture, breathtaking views and the lightshow Veliko Tarnovo will always have a place in our memories.

Our second destination was the capital, Sofia. Almost all of the locals say that Sofia is no worth visiting, that Plovdiv is more beautiful etc. But despite their opinions we had three wonderful days there. One of our favorite atractions was the United Buddy Bears show. There were a lot of bears representing all the countries in the world and this show takes place every year in a different city, this year it was Sofias turn:)

During the Easter holiday we visited Asenovgrad and as the locals say, it is the Bulgarian official capital of bridal outfits and churches. Besides that, there is a really nice fortress on top of the mountain, but it is not the best place to visit if you're afraid of heights:D

This weekend we're going to Turkey, Istanbul with the other Erasmus students. Hopefully the weather is warm and sunny, because the last few weeks it has been even colder here than in Estonia.
